Biography

Rodney V. Taylor is an attorney with the Christopher & Taylor law firm in Indianapolis, Indiana. A top-rated trial attorney with more than 45 years of legal experience, Mr. Taylor focuses his practice primarily on plaintiff personal injury claims and helping his clients obtain the full amount of compensation they deserve for the injuries and losses they suffered as the result of someone else's negligence. In addition, he also handles business litigation involving a wide range of disputes, including issues involving energy and natural resources.

A native of Illinois, Mr. Taylor graduated from the University of Illinois in 1969 and served in the U.S. armed forces. Upon completing his service, he attended Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1973.

The Indiana State Bar Association admitted him to practice that same year, and he is also admitted to practice in Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, New York and Washington, D.C., as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Indiana, the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois, and the District of Columbia; the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 6th, 7th and 9th Circuits; and the U.S. Supreme Court. He also handles cases throughout Canada and the Caribbean.

Along with maintaining a successful legal practice, Mr. Taylor supports his local community through his involvement with various philanthropic efforts. He is the founder of The Miracle Ride Foundation and the Indianapolis Air Show, and he serves as president for The Miracle Ride Foundation. Through his efforts, he has helped raise almost $6 million for the Riley Hospital for Children. He also serves on the board of The Athenaeum Foundation as well as general counsel for ABATE of Indiana, ABATE of Illinois and ABATE of Ohio.

In recognition for his selfless service, he was appointed Sagamore of the Wabash in 2007 by Governor Mitch Daniels, and he has earned numerous awards and honors for his impeccable professionalism, including a listing in the Martindale-Hubbell* Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. He is also a licensed pilot and received the Indiana Aviator of the Year award in 2012.
